How can Cybersecurity Champions help you?

Most cybersecurity training just ticks a box. You'll come out knowing what GDPR requires of you and not much else. That's fine if all you want is a certificate for the file.

Our training gives you something you can use. As Cybersecurity Champions, we have created our training to go further, to give you practical and applicable actions. It's the training we wish everyone had before the criminals got to them.

Beyond the compliance checklist

Legal requirements are the start, not the end. Data protection law tells you what you must do to stay compliant, not how attacks actually unfold, why some people and businesses get targeted over others, or what to do differently on Monday morning.

We cover the legal issues but also look at the human, behavioural, and technical realities that cybersecurity training usually leaves out.

Rather than a generic list of “dos and don'ts,” we show attendees who's actually behind these attacks, how they pick their targets, and why certain people, roles, and businesses end up in the crosshairs more than others. Understanding the why behind an attack makes the warning signs far easier to spot the next time one lands in an inbox.

AI is a superpower

Criminals have upgraded their attack toolkit, and your training has to match. We walk through how artificial intelligence is now being used to make attacks faster, more convincing, and much harder to spot. Gone is the Prince with millions of dollars, messages now read as though a real colleague wrote them and scams can adapt in real time. Attendees leave understanding what's changed and what to watch for now, not just what used to work five years ago.

Smart speakers, connected cameras, smart TVs, the “internet of things” has filled our homes and offices with devices that were never designed with security as the priority. We show you what these devices can expose, and the simple checks that close the security gaps.

Smart people learn from others' mistakes

Some of the most useful lessons come from attacks that have already made the news. We break down how well-publicised incidents actually happened. What were the decisions, the missed warning signs, the small gaps that were exploited? Learn exactly how the same thing could happen to you, and what would have stopped it.

Valuable lessons for work and home

None of this is confined to the office, protective habits can be used at work and home. That means being able to help a less tech-confident relative spot a scam text, setting up proper parental controls for the kids' devices, and knowing how to secure a home broadband hub rather than leaving it on factory settings.

We also cover something most training never touches: how to set up a segregated home network, so remote working stays safe even when the kids' tablets, smart TVs, and guests' phones are all sharing the same Wi-Fi. It's a small change that makes a big difference to what a compromised device elsewhere in the house can reach.

From training to understanding to protection

Once people understand how attacks really work, the natural next question is: “so how exposed are we, right now?” That's when the real gaps come to light, such as unmanaged devices, no clear incident response plan, no cybersecurity policy to fall back on when something does happen.

Strident is on hand to help close those gaps, from mobile device management to full disaster recovery planning, but the training always comes first. Protection has to be understood before it can be properly built.

We know “here's what the law says,” isn't enough. That's why we built training courses that deliver real-world benefits. That's why we're Cybersecurity Champions.
