Case study: Regent Construction enhances security

Like many businesses, Regent Construction needs to ensure its staff are productive, whether they are in or out of the office. Accessing information and communicating with colleagues working from home, on site or in the office and working across phones, tablets and laptops means that Microsoft 365 is a great fit.

Having recently moved its IT support to Strident, the business has added useful services the that they were previously unaware of. "We have been running Microsoft 365 for a number of years, supported by another IT business," explains Julie Sheldon, Finance Manager at Regent Construction.

Secure device management and online backup

“Chris at Strident explained the benefits of using Microsoft InTune to improve control and security across all our devices, as well as using a seamless online backup solution for our Microsoft 365 accounts. My reaction was 'Why weren’t these services offered to us before?'," adds Julie.

Julie described the easy transition to Strident. "Strident actively lead the whole process. We had some minor niggles, but it was very smooth, and we’ve been very happy with the service since working with them."

Enhanced security

Regent Construction takes IT security seriously and is now looking to add Managed Detection and Response, an active system that use artificial intelligence and machine learning to continuously monitor the business network activity for suspicious behaviour.

"Through Strident’s regular communications we were made aware of the benefits of MDR. It’s great to work with a business that will proactively suggest improvements."
