Cycling 444 miles for Blood Cancer UK
We're delighted to support some of our customers who are cycling 444 miles across 4 countries in 4 days to raise money for Blood Cancer UK. The group are pushing themselves to the limits in memory of Stuart Bennett and supporting an important charity dedicated to funding research into all blood cancers, and offering support and information to patients.
In memory of Stuart Bennett
A memeber of the Colchester Business Lunch Club, Stuart was an incredibly well liked and respected figure within the local business community. He was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukaemia at the age of 45, during which time he was faced with many treatments and underwent two bone marrow transplants. He sadly lost his battle with Leukaemia in January 2019.
The Challenge
The group will cycle across 4 countries in 4 days, starting on 14 June in Colchester down to Dover, through France, Belgium, and Netherlands before arriving back in Harwich 4 days later. The cycle ride is around 444 miles long and the team have been training hard together in preparation.

Since 1960, Blood Cancer UK have invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Their community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough.
