"The decision to move to Teams with Voice was initially driven by the desire to replace our previous analogue phone system," explains Mark Robinson, General Manager at Rapid Dispatch.
"Given the difficulties that all businesses have faced in the past year, we liked the flexibility that a VoIP phone system offered us. Teams with Voice works well, it allows team members to work remotely as if they are in the office, and the routing allows calls be efficiently managed in to call groups for different customer requirements."
In addition to greater flexibility, Mark notes that Teams with Voice also offered cost savings over the previous system. "Even with the new hardware, such as Jabra headsets for colleagues, it is proving to be a very cost-effective solution."
Mark is also impressed with Teams virtual meeting capabilities, allowing him to conduct professional face-to-face meeting at a time when physical meetings are very much restricted. "It allows you to maintain the important personal element of doing business and ties in well with the rest of the Microsoft Office environment."
Having the adopted the VoIP element first, Rapid Dispatch is now looking to move its documents to Teams too. "We're an APC Partner and their management software will go fully cloud-based by mid-2022. This allows us to retire our older server that has required to create workarounds to work collaboratively. Moving to Teams will enable us to share resources more effectively, enabling staff to work in the office or remotely with greater ease."
