Tridan Engineering move to Office 365

Posted on: 16 Jan 14

Tridan Engineering Ltd, based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, provides precision components to manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, marine and medical industries.

“We have invested heavily in our sophisticated CNC machines but we also need a productive IT environment to run the business efficiently,” explains Paul Hawkins, Tridan Engineering’s managing director.

Tridan moved from a server only network to a combination of server and Office 365. “This offers us the best of both worlds. We need a server-based system to run our resource-hungry management software suite but by moving to Office 365 we have moved our email to the cloud," explains Paul

“This provides flexibility for our 20 users and remote access as well as providing an additional level of backup. In addition, Office 365 has allowed us to standardise on one version of the Office suite throughout the business. This ensures that colleagues and customers can easily share documents without version issues,” adds Paul.

This IT system offers Tridan great flexibility for the future by combining a high performance network and highly collaborative online services.
